Harkleroad Diamonds and Fine Jewelry has been receiving feedback from our customers for years regarding online jewelry websites. Most customers agree, they don’t want to buy or sell jewelry and diamonds online.

Our customers stated they wanted to feel, touch, and view the diamonds side by side. When shopping for diamonds, they wanted to be able to compare the diamonds next to other diamonds to make their decision and see the difference. As for other jewelry, they wanted to feel and touch the jewelry to see the quality of craftsmanship put into the piece.

In the case of diamonds, no two diamonds are alike. Though they may look the same on certification papers, all diamonds with the same clarity, color, carat weight and cut will not look the same in person. Remember, when shopping for a diamond, you are buying a diamond, not a certification. Comparing diamonds of the same grading classification in person is the best way to choose the diamond most pleasing to each individual’s eye. You will see very quickly which diamond has the most fire, sparkle, and returns the most light to the eye. No online website can provide this to a customer.
The clarity grade of a diamond is a great example of how important it is to examine a diamond with your naked eye. For example, two diamonds which have the grade of SI2 can look extremely different when compared side by side. Clarity grade is a range and a diamond graded at SI2 can be on the clearer end of the range or the lower end of the range. This is why it is so important to view the diamonds in person with your own eyes. For example, one diamond could have a black inclusion in the middle, which at the right angle could be visible. Another diamond could have a black inclusion on the edge, invisible to the naked eye and could be covered up by the setting. Being able to make this distinction in person is imperative and adds great value for the customer.

When you are in the process of choosing the right diamond for you, it is very important to examine the diamond with the naked eye through the top of the stone. Please refer to our educational section regarding the 4C’s of a diamond: color, cut, clarity and carat weight. This is vital knowledge to have when learning more about choosing the right diamond.

The most important resource we offer our customers is exceptional customer service before and after the sale. Jewelry needs to be serviced after the sale with regular cleanings, resizing as needed, and other simple maintenance. At Harkleroad Diamonds and Fine Jewelry, we pride ourselves on offering complimentary lifetime maintenance and industry leading guarantees and warranties. Also included are a lifetime upgrade policy, price protection guarantee, and our 30-day money back guarantee.
Our personal relationship with our customer is of the utmost important to us.
